BREVARD COLLEGE
An Institution Which Enjoys Onr Confidence and Deserves Onr Pride!
A CHALLENGE TO YOUTH!
In many parts of the world today, the youth of this country are meeting
the supreme test of stamina and devotion. They are not only under
going the ordeal of battle, but they are being subjected to subtle in
fluences that would corrupt their thinking and lessen their devotion
to American ideals. When peace comes again, the youth of our land,
both as individuals and collectively, will face momentous decisions.
The things they fought for will have to be made secure. Young men
and women who are continuing their schooling are equipping them
selves to take an intelligent part in shaping the future course of
America.
One of the outstanding assets here which extends its in
fluence over a large area is Brevard college, a fine jun
ior college operated by the Methodist denomination,
which offers exceptional educational opportunities to
young men and women whose financial resources are
limited but who are resolved to equip themselves for
useful careers in life.
The students work, earn and learn all at the same time
under wise direction. A well-rounded program of in
struction is offered in a soundly Christian atmosphere.
This industry is vitally interested in education and in
training young people to maintain American ideals and
at the same time acquire culture and skills that will
make of them more worthy citizens.
The world of tomorrow depends on the youth of today.
“Tell me what the youth of today are thinking”, said
Goethe, “and I will tell you the future of the state.”
Therefore, a heavy responsibility rests upon our schools
and colleges—a responsibility which Brevard college
is well equipped to discharge in an efficient manner.
