Many who made contributions toward the pie supper and helped with the serving of same cannot | attend our P.-T. A. meetings; therefore, I wish to express my gratitude for their support. Lee Lewis Tinsley, who has been very ill with pneumonia at his home here, was removed to the Transylvania Community hospital in Brevard last Thursday, and is reported to be improving. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Powell, of Greer, S. C., announce the birth of a daughter on December 7th. Mrs. Powell was formerly Miss Gertrude Breedlove. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mil ler on January 2 a daughter. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd King a daughter on December 21. Boone Galloway, of the navy, at Bainbridge, Md., is spending a 10-day leave here with his family. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hall and children, of Goldsboro, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Granville Fisher. Mrs. H. D. Lee has returned home after spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rogers in Brevard. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Owen have received word that their son-in law, Fred McNeely, of Clatskanie, Oregon, suffered a stroke, caus ing paralysis to his right side. The McNeely’s moved recently from Oakland to Oregon. CONNESTEE NEWS BY JEANETTE CISON Mr. Houston Glazener and son, Roland, were business visitors in Greenville Friday. Mr. Glenn Hudson, of Pickens, was guest Monday of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Tinsley. Porter Tinsley, who has been ill for several days, is able to re turn to his work at the Gibbs Esso station in Brevard. A number of people in this com munity have been confined with flu and other illness the past week.
