GOVERNOR DEWEY
GOVERNOR WARREN
>
i
*
Hundreds of polls taken by experts throughout the country show unmistakably
that Dewey and Warren will be elected next Tuesday. Some of these polls were
made many months ago .... some of them were local, others were regional, still
others were of national scope .... but all of them indicated the overwhelming de
sire of the American people for the National Republican standard bearers.
Political writers are virtually agreed that the Republicans will retain and very
possibly may strengthen their control of both houses of congress.
What does this men? Simply this: That after January 20 of next year, the Re
publican party will control both the executive and the legislative branches of
congress.
We believe that, in view of this inevitable outcome, it is to the advantage of North
Carolina and Transylvania to elect men to offices within their gift of the same po
litical faith.
Here in Transylvania county, we are offering a slate of capable and conscienti
ous men. They are, each and every one of them, fully qualified to discharge the
duties of the offices they seek. Consider them individually and as a group and
do as millions throughout the country will do—
