The Fire department has cer
tainly been worked overtime
lately. They’ve received some
dozen calls within the past two
weeks. Fortunately only one of
these has been a bad fire. There
were two days that they re
ceived two calls each. Last Mon
day they went to the Roy De
Long residence on McLean road, ,
and again Monday night, they
were called out to Carr Owen’s
just off Maple street. These
double troubles came again
Friday, when they received a
call to Mack Corn’s Friday after
noon and to Bethel Colored
church that night about 9:15
Neither of these two did much
damage. Personally, I think these !
boys are doing a marvelous job j
and can’t be given too much i
praise.
The next time you make seal

with sour cream for the liquid.
Line the dish with slices of cold,

raw or cooked sliced potatoes and
onion rings. Pour sour cream ov
er the top and dot with cheddar I
cheese. Good? Mmm-!
