COOK’S CORNER (Continued from Page Six) pancakes with a tart jam or jelly. Do try them. Norwegian Dessert Pancakes 3-4 cup flour 4 eggs 1 this, sugar Butter or margarine 1 cup (% pt) thick sour cream 1 cup small curd or creamed cottage cheese Sift flour with sugar into a bowl and spbon in sour cream. Blend thoroughly. Beat eggs until very light and fold into flour mixture along with the cottage cheese. Bake on a lightly buttered griddle until golden on both sides. Spread with tart jam or jelly and roll up. Be sure to make each pancake small; use no more than a tablespoon of batter for each. Real gourmet fare! In these days of more casual en tertaining, “dips and drinks” with fresh raw vegetables and crackers and potato chips are quick and easy to use as ideal informal re freshments. Next time you enter tain try one of these tempting dips. Dipsy-Doodle Yz lb. liver sausage unsliced Ya cup salad dressing 34 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 4 tbls. chopped dill pickle 2 tsp. prepared mustard Ya tsp. Tabasco sauce Va cup chopped onion Ya tsp. salt Mix all ingredients thoroughly until perfectly blended. If mixture seems too stiff add a little more salad dressing. Chill. Serve sur rounded by carrot and celery sticks and slim pretzels. Devil’s Delight Dip 1 jar (5 oz.) pimiento cheese spread 2 tbls. minced parsley 1 tbls. Worcestershire sauce 1 can (2Ya oz.) devilled ham 2 tbls. minced onion Yz cup mayonnaise 5 drops Tabasco sauce Thoroughly mix all ingredients until perfectly blended. Chill for an hour or more. Serve surrounded by assorted crackers and potato chips. Thought For Food From My Red Rocker For the “ham what am” out of this world baste with half and half mixture of honey and ginger-ale.
