HOMECOMING IS SUCCESSFUL AT TOXAWAYCHURCH Rev. Jesse Osteen Delivers Main Address. Wild Life Club Met BY MRS. H. D. LEE (Omitted Last Week) TOXAWAY — There was a large attendance at the Homecom ing at the North Toxaway Baptist church, Sunday. Rev. Jesse Osteen, of Hendersonville, delivered a most inspirational message at the elev en o’clock service, on homes, home coming and our hope of an eternal home of peace and love. He spoke of the church as a “meeting house” where Christian people could meet together and worship God. Short talks were made by the following ministers: Rev. Ed Moody, pastor of the church, Rev. S. B. McCall, founder of the church, Rev. Julius Owen, former pastor, Rev. Clyde McCall, who was pastor for many years at the Lake Tox away Baptist church and principal of the Lake Toxaway school for many years, and Rev. Cadez Wilds of Cedar Mountain, a former Lake Toxaway resident. Special music by the Textileriers of Greenville, S. C., Airs. Hazel Crooks and daughter, Miss Hazel Lee Ballenger, of Greenville, S. C., the Moody family, and old time songs by the congregation were enjoyed. A bountiful dinner was spread on tables on the lawn at noon; then followed a social hour when we had the pleasure of meeting many old friends and talking to our friends and neighbors. This is an annual affair and we are looking forward to another Homeeoming next year when it will probably be held earlier, so that more summer residents can attend and also young people who Em flwav to colleges. Club Met The Lake Toxaway hunting club met at the Lake Toxaway school Saturday night and were delighted to have with them Howard L. Woo ten, of Clyde, wild Life Supervisor of District 9, comprising twelve counties, and James Renegar, of Brevard, county game protector. Mr. Wooten gave a most interest ing talk in which he encouraged the members of the club and both he and Mr. Renegar assured them of their hearty cooperation. Deaths Reported This community was saddened by the news of the death of William Henry Arwood, at the Banner Elk Hospital on last Wednesday and the death of Mrs. Frank (Carrie Davis) Wilbanks, of Ware Shoals, S.
