WARD McCALL BALSAM GROVE — John Par ris, author from Sylva, will give the principal address at the annu al “Hospital Day” to be held at Balsam Grove Sunday, September 29th. The program will get underway about 19 a> m., and continue till 4 in the afternoon A large group of singers is ex pected to be present, including Carl Story and his Rambling Moun taineers from Asheville. Club Meets The Community Development club will have its regular meeting Tuesday night, October 1, at 8:00 •"dock. The club is leasing the school building for a Community center. It will be used for various community activities. We invite all our folks to attend this meeting. Boy Scouts Meet The Boy Scouts Troop 16 will have their regular meeting Thurs <iay night, Sept. 26. They also plan a marshmallow toast after the meeting. All the Scouts are invit ed to attend. Trustees Meet The annual monthly meeting of the Albert Schweitzer Memorial hospital trustees will be held Wed nesday night, Oct. 2 at the home of Dr. E. Gaine Cannon. MCDONALD, of the architectural firm of McDonald and Daniels, of Brevard, teaches engineering drawing at Brevard college. Mr. McDonald, who holds a BS degree from Clemson college, was the architect for the beautiful new campus center building on the college campus. Mr. McDonald is also the archi tect for the new Brevard Meth odist church, now under con struction opposite the entrance of the college. Baptismal Held Sunday Afternoon At Toxaway Falls BY MRS. I. S. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kreiger have returned to their home here after making a tour through Indi ana and Ohio visiting relatives. Mrs. Lena Lyda returned to her home in Covington, Ga., last week after an extended visit here and at Brevard with relatives.
