Jehovah’s Witnesses At Meeting Jehovah’s Witnesses came home stimulated Sunday evening as their semi-annual Bible con ference came to a dramatic cli max when the featured speaker, Eruce E. Giffin, addressed 959 attentive listeners on the sub ject, “The Bible Triumphs in a Scientific World.” The delegation, assembled in the North Carolina National Guard Armory in Charlotte, heard Mr. Giffin say: “Scientific fact does not clash with the Bible. Many persons quickly assert that the findings of proved science nullify the Bible’s account of thp origin of life among other things. How ever such basis are found only in unproved theories, hearsay and prejudice. Those grounds are insufficient to condemn the Bible. “On the other hand, the find ings of proved science ha-mon ize completely with the Bible’s account of the origin of life and other supposed conflicts. Thus, if you are to reject wh’t the Bible teaches, then, to be con sistent, you must also reject the established findings of true sci ence, which expose theories that hr' e no basis whatsoever in sci sxtific fact” ir. :nc concur m2 address, the " 't e^e- were h’rl'y to learn that S t-tcW? ordin~‘im wi‘ it^sses the baptism of 13 new ministers. “The Brevard local ministers in attendance have expressed continued enthusiasm about their Bible teaching program carried cn in the Brevard area, “Mr. Mays, nres’ding mmimster of the local congregation said: “Feed My Little Sheep”, the theme of the seminar has instill ed in us greater desire to show neiehborly love by conducting Bible lessons free of charge in private homes.” It s Wintry At Cathey's Creek By MRS.
