December 16th, at Mrs. Morris Hawkins! A covered dish meal is planned and every one is asked to bring a small gift to exchange. The meeting time will be 9:45 so mark your calender. The Little River Baptist church honored Mrs. Martin Shipman recently for so faith fully serving the church for 26 years as treasurer. Mrs. Fred Kilstrom presented her with a corsage made up of money do nated by friends. Mr. Shipman also received a boutonniere for his lapel. The Little River Community Club is planning a community supper, Christmas tree for the children and other activities on December 17th, 6:30 p.m. at the community center. The club will furnish the turkey with each one that attends bringing a covered dish of their favorite food. All members will note that this activitv has been re scheduled from the 17th to the 18th. All who have not been members during this year but would like to attend, are invited and encouraged to join the women fun and fellowship. Selica 4-H Selica’s 4-H last ~.eeting was held on November 24, as a din ner meeting in the Community Center. Even in bad weather a large crowd attended. The din ner was delicious and all who were present enjoyed them selves. Butch Hunter, a former Selica president, provided en tertainment with a guitar solo. The program consisted of a very impressive candlelight of ficer installation ceremony, with Dennis Winters officiating. Dates to remember for Selica members are: (I) December 15 —Selica’s neat meeting, 7:30 p.m.; (2) December 10—-Selica Executive Committee; (3) De cember—Program and Finance Committee Meetings some date before the 15th.
