The meeting was held in the Fel lowship Hall of the Brevard Presbyterian church. Randal Lyday, who is the Transyl vania County Directeefor the Agricultural Foundfflbn at North Carolina State Univer sity, president at the meeting. A brief report was given by John A. Senter, president of the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation, on the purpose for the foundation and the work they sponsor at North Carolina State University. Dr. T. C. Blalock, Associate Director for the North Caro lina Agricultural Extension Service, and Dr. Eloise Cofer, Assistant Director in Charge of Extension Home Eco nomics, gave a report on the Extension Service activities throughout North Carolina. Dr. H. B. Craig, Assistant Di rector of Academic Affairs for Agriculture and Life Sciences, reported on the teaching pro grams conducted at North Caro lina State University in the areas of agriculture and life tciences. Dr. J. C. Williamson, Direc tor of Research for the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences, reported on the research being conducted at North Carolina State Univer sity and the Agricultural Ex periment Stations throughout North Carolina. Approximately 75 business men. farm leaders and other interested persons from Tran sylvania, Henderson, Buncombe and Haywood counties attended this event Services for Jennings B. Fish er, 73, of Lake Toxaway, route 1, who died Saturday were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Mace donia Baptist Church. The Rev. Doc Owens offici ated. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery. Nephews were pall bearers. Mr. Fisher was a retired tim ber worker and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
