"Christmas Joy In Song And
Praise" At Presbyterian Church
"Christmas Joy in Song and
Praise” will be presented in the
sanctuary of the Brevard-DavicL
son River Presbyterian Church
on December IS at 7:30 p.m.
The service is based on the
nine lessons of Christmas with
a pageant and special music to
illustrate each lesson.
Participating in this service
are the Children's Choir and
Chancel Choir, members of the
Presbyterian Youth Fellowship,
1st and 2nd grade members,
and adults.
The Pastor, Daniel McCall
will read the lessons. The Chil
dren’s Choir is directed by Mrs
John Sanderson and accom
panied by Mrs. James Sanders
and the Chancel Choir by Ade
laide Miller, choir director-or
ganist The Reverend Thomas
McPhail and Adelaide Miller
are directors of this event.
The Presbyterians are re
newing their invitation to the
community at large to share
this event with them. The pag
eant begins at 7:30 p.m. A nurs
ery will be provided.

Christmas Luncheon December 17
“CHRISTMAS IN THE ’70s’ ”
is the theme for the Transyl
vania County P-TA Council
Luncheon on Thursday, Decem
ber 17th at 12:00 noon at
Gaither's Restaurant.
Rev. Orion Hutchinson, pas
tor, of the First United Metho
dist church, will be the speaker
for this occasion.
The P-TA of each school is
to pay for their principal’s
lunch. Reservations are requir

7:30 p.m. in the school cafe

The Christmas program en
titled The Tree in the Park,
will be presented by the first
and second grades.

During the business session,
presided over by President Rob.
ert Rhyne, Sr., officers for the
coming year were elected.
They are as follows: John
Boggess, president; Chester
Cummings, vice - president;
George Wilson, treasurer; and
Jim Leinster, secretary.
These officers along with of
ficers of the other two of the
congregation will be installed
during the worship Sunday
morning on December 20th.
