That’s counting December 24th, too. It’s a time for rejoicing, mothers, fathers, for we know you arc looking for ward with much anticipation to the numerous treks into town, up and down the busy streets, and into the crowd ed stores. But take heart! It will be over all too soon for those curtain • climbing, house demolition teams we refer to as “children.” Then it’s back to school and once again out of mother’s hair. Shop Brevard first! The number of veterans tak ing police, fireman and other “protective service” training under the GI Bill increased by 90 percent during FY 70. Po lice and fire departments inter ested in setting up a program should contact their nearest VA office; interested veterans should apply at local police and fire departments. TRY THE TIMES WANT ADS From The Clarion Final Exams Begin December 10; Christmas Vacation To Follow Only six more days and read ing day will be here. That also means only six days until exams begin because the first exam is scheduled for reading day night. Those who have never taken exams at Brevard College have quite an experience coming up. These finals run from the tenth to the eighteenth of De cember. They are scheduled for three hours each. A stud ent will often find he can fin ish the exam in less than the alloted time, but sometimes it takes longer. Regardless of the time spent on each individual exam, the student is free to go home as soon as he completes his last exam. Six days does no; seem like much time to prepare for exams; but for the student who has kept up with assignments all along, there is no real prob lem. After exams, the Brevard College students have a pleas ure that many other college students do not have and that is three long weeks of vaca tion without having to open a book. That’s a real vacation. Good luck on exams and Hap. py Holiday.
