The girls took pari in a flag ceremony and ther were presented their year pins It has been a very eventful yeai for the troop and we are sure they have big plans for the coming year. Congratulations Brownies on winning that prize. Selling all those cookies was really worth while wasn’t it! Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Lawton and Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Beasley attended the State 4-H Confer ence held at Lake Junaluska on Friday and Saturday. It was a very interesting meeting and many 4-H ideas were discussed. Joe E. Pace, Director of the Rocky Hill Church Training Union, would like to express his sincere appreciation to all Training Union members for reaching the $100 Building Fund goal so fast. A check for this amount will be given to the Church Building Fund treasur er. No matter what the goal, the Training Union always reaches it ahead of schedule. Thank you everyone! Mr. and Mrs. M. L. C, Bill Jones has returned home after spending two weeks in the Veterans Hospital in Durham. He was there for a check-up. Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Pace and children and Mrs. Sadie Allison enjoyed the Etowah Horse Shoe on Saturday, Judy Allison, granddaughter of Mrs. Allison, received a number of ribbons for her riding in the show.
