To The Voters
Of Rosman
I take this means to express my
sincere appreciation for the vote of
confidence I received in Rosman’s
town election Tuesday, May 4th.
I accept this vote as an endorsement of the efforts
I, as Mayor, and the Board of Aldermen have made to
give Rosman a fair, impartial, and progressive town
government. 1 also consider re-election a personal en
dorsement, since I ran on my record of four years in the
Mayor’s office. -*
In accepting the office again, I acknowledge the
trust placed in me and pledge to continue an adminis
tration devoted, to the limits of my ability, to the best
interests of all the citizens of Rosman.

of the Liftheran Chttrch in j
North Carolina will be held in

to information released from i
the official headquarters of the j
state organization, the Rev.

president
The three-day gathering will
represent a departure from
former years in that it will be
over a weekend, hopeful that
many business and professional
lay persons might have an op
portunity to attend all or a part j
of the sessions.
Formal opening will be in I
charge of President Whittecar,
with devotions conducted by ;
the Convention Chaplain, T. C. j
Plexico, pastor of St. James j
Lutheran Church, Concord. A i
full schedule has been worked
out for the official delegates, ;
including reports of the Execu
tive Board; the many standing
committee and special commit
tees; reports of boards of the
institutions owned by the

Will Organize
German Club
In Transylvania
The German born citizens
of Transylvania County have
derided to form a club. They
feel it would be a good thing
for Brevard and its neighbor
hood to have such a club.
The aim of this club would
not only be an answer to a
need of these former Germans
to meet with each other, but
also to give an opportunity to
any resident of Brevard to
learn more about the cultural
life as well as the customs of
Germany.
A language study could be
added. This might inspire
other language groups to join
together, either individually
or unitedly with each other.
This club would certainly give
Brevard an international fla
vor, and also it would have the
benefit of uniting all the new- ;
ly adopted citizens of the
United States of America. It
certainly would be one step
closer to peace, the promo
ters say. ,
Anyone interested in this !
new enterprise, please contact
Mrs. R. S. Berk, 335 N. Cald- !
well street, phone 883-3751.
