Rosman Seniors To Attend Zion Baptist Church Sunday Morning BY MRS. AUSTIN HOGSKD Members of the graduating class at Rosman High School will attend services as a group at Zion Baptist church Sunday morning at 11:00 o’clock. The pastor, the Rev. Joe Pressley, will be in charge. This service will take the place of the baccalaureate ser mon. Singing An all-night Gospel Singing will be held Saturday night be ginning at 7:30 in the Rosman High School auditorium. Groups scheduled to be pres ent include: The True Tones, Owen Trio, Shelton Sisters, Bob Ensley and the Gospeleers, Hol land Talley Trio, Wilson Sisters, Log Cabin Quartet and the Powell Quartet. Any other groups are invited to participate. Refreshments will be sold during intermission. Admission is $1.00 for adults and 50 cents for children. All proceeds will go on the fund for purchasing a new fire truck for the Rosman Volunteer Fire Department. Working A cemetery working will be held Saturday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Clyde Summey, who is in charge, announces anyone who will help is invited to come. Youth Meet Youth Group A of Zion Bap tist church will meet Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the church*, after which they will go to the bowl ing alley and skating rink. The group will be accom panied by the Rev. Joe Pressley and Mrs. Pressley. Service Baptismal services will be be held Sunday night at 8:30 at Zion Baptist church. There are three candidates for baptism. The Rev. Joe Pressley will be in charge. Car Wash The Rosman Youth Organi zation will sponsor a car wash Saturday from 12:00 noon tc 8:00 p.m. at McCall Auto Serv ice. Cars will be washed for $1.5C FOR SALE—1 ream! Cassell, Sr., return ed home Sunday night from Charleston, W. Va„ where she spent two weeks with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Therm Cassell. Rev. and Mrs. Gary Fisher of Lakeland, Fla., are spending several days with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. James Devon Shelton and daughter, Jenny of Greenville. S. C., were also weekend guests at the Fisher home. Mrs. James Fish er and Mr. Shelton are cousins. Mrs. W. O. Galloway, Sr., spent Sunday in Pickens, S. C., with her son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. James Fun derburke. She was accompanied by little Miss Lynn Funder burke who spent last week here. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Calla ham were Friday guests of their sister-in-law, Mrs. George Callaham, who was a patient in Greenville General Hospital, Greenville, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jordan of Asheville were Sunday guests of the former’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Winchester. Mrs. Faye Fletcher, Miss Frances Talley, and Mrs. Re noda Chapman of Brevard and Mrs. Arthur Dishman of Ros man attended a cosmetologist show at the Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, S. C. Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Patton and daughter Marguita of Canton were Sunday guests of Mrs. Patton’s sister, Mrs. C. C. Gar ren and Mr. Garren. Guests during the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Gillespie were Mrs. Geneva Vance and Mrs. Dot Wiseman and daugh and proceeds will be used on a fund to erect restrooms on the field. Recital Miss Verlene Owen will pre sent her students in a recital Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at Zion Baptist church. Eleven students will perform, and Miss Owen invites the pub lic to attend. Ball Game The Youth of Middle Fork Baptist church will meet Sat urday afternoon at 5:00 o’clock at the Eastatoe Club Center. Sponsored by the Brother hood, the group will have a ball game. Lance made the first lady-driver emergency run last week. She says she quali fied as an ambulance driver because she wanted to help peopfe who couldn’t help themselves.
