The Youth Council voiced a desire to have an outdoor worship service. First Baptist youth will sing the Christian Folk Musical, “Now Hear It Again”, writ Rosman Teacher Appointed Principal At Pisgah Forest (Continued From Page One) seven years, is retiring after 42 years in the Transylvania school system. The new Pisgah Forest principal, a home economics teacher, was born at Mars Hill and attended public school there. She holds the BS degree in Education from Western Carolina University, a Master’s in Education from the Univer sity of North Carolina art Greensboro and will complete the 6th Year Program in School Administration and Supervision at Western Caro lina next month. She is the wife of Wayne Taylor, formerly of Cullowhee, who is employed at Olin. The couple have two girls: Donna, nine, and Trade, two. “I have greatly enjqyed working at Bosman the last eight years,” says Mrs. Taylor. “All the people there are won derful to work with and the youngsters are marvelous. “But I’m looking forward to working at Piqgah Forest,” she says. “I’ve lived in the school district for l6 years and Ipow a lot of people; still, there’ll be a lot more to get to know, working at the school.” Mrs. Moore, after 43 years as a school teacher, is looking ten in 1970 by Bob Burroughs The choir win be under the direction of Mrs. Art Fore, Minister of Music. Retired Group Meets Tuesday The Transylvania chapter oi the American Association of Retired Persons will hold its regular monthly meeting Tues day, May 25th, in the Fellow ship all of the First United Methodist church. John L. Simmons, a repre sentative of Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith, Inc., will give an authorative lecture on investments. The lecture will be followed by a question and answer period. All interest ed citizens are cordially invited to attend. Following Mr.' Sim mons lecture, there will be a forward to a well earned re tirement. “I don’t have any big plans,” she says. “I hope to travel some, but mostly 1 just want to do the things I haven’t been able to while working.” Held Nightly, Village Chapel Pisgah Forest Tbe Village Chapel Mission of Pisgah Forest is holding Revival services through the 23rd of May. Lyday have returned from Ra leigh where they attended the graduation of their daughter, Martha, nt Mered;th College. Bosnian's Commencement The Graduation exercises at Bosnian high school next Wednesday night will be held in the Bosnian stadium, be ginning at 8:Q0 o’clock. Tim Warren will serve as master of ceremonies. Evelyn Beddingfield, class saluta torian, is to speak followed by the valedictorian, Mary Helen Huggins. The pledge to the flag is to be led by Charlene McCall, the invoca tion by Cindy Gillespie, The Graduates’ Creed by Nancy Owen and the benediction by Nina McCall. Diplomas will be given to the seniors by Alonzo L. War ren, principal of Bosman High School. Harry S. Corbin, county school superintendent, has been invited to present awards. Music will be provided by the Folk Music Club under the direction of Mrs. Thomas ; Stocklen. To be held Sunday morning is the baccalaureate sermon. Delivered by Rev. James Pressley, if, will be part of the Sunday rporping worship service of Zion Baptist Church in Rosman on May 23. The class will attend and sit in a group. Also in conjunction with graduation is the annual sen ium trip. The group will spend a day, Monday, May 24 at Stope Mountain State Park in Georgia. Traveling by activity bus, they plan to enjoy, vari ous attractions including the authentic steam train, river boat an# cable car at the park.
