Sentelle were united in marriage Saturday, June 5th, at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Chapel of The Brevard First Methodist church. Reverend R. T. Houts, Jr., of Valdese, officiated at the ceremony. Wedding music was pre sented by Miss Linda Brewn, organist, and Mrs. Ronny Daniel, soloist The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack A. Smathers, of 311 Gaston street. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Sentelle, of 110 Franklin street. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length bridal satin gown, em pire waist, with waist line covered with pearls, elbow length sleeves. . Appliques were floral and inset with pearls on the front, along border of back and on sleeves. Her dress was made by the mother of the groom and the bride. She carried white mums and pink sweetheart roses. Mrsi Fons Giles-, of Cullo whee, college roommate, was matron of honor. She wore a floor length Hill And Dale Club Holds June Meeting The 'familiar, but true quote, “June is dairy month” was emphasized on Tuesday at the regular meeting of the Hill and Dale Extension Homemakers Club which was held at Camp Straus. The president, Mrs. John Michael* presided and open ed the meeting by leading the group in praying, The Lord’s Prayer. Miss Jean Childers, coun ty home economics extension agent, using an illustra tive scroll showed that in order to have "go power and grow power” the four basic food groups are essential to building muscles, rich blood, strong bones, teeth, steady nerves, a good appetite and digestion. The bride is a 1970 gradu ate of Western Carolina Uni versity with a BS degree in Business Administration in Data Processing. The groom is a senior at tending Western Carolina University majoring in Busi ness Administration concen trating in Marketing. This award, a silver tray, is presented each year to the hybridizer who registered daylily wins most votes for the best clump in tour gar dens. KEITHIE which Mrs. Gar ren named for her grandson has won several other high awards. In 1967 it was voted the best small flower in the show at Anderson, S. C. It has been awarded Junior CL tation for promising register ed, un-introduced seedling, and Honorable Mention by the American Hemerocallis Society. L. Hunt er, County Citizenship Chair man of Extension Home makers, attended the Seminar as delegates of the Council The Seminar was held June 14-17 on the Meredith Col lege Campus.
