They are Mrs. Paula Lyday
of Rt. 2 and Mr. Donald C.

ported by a U. S., Office of Ed
ucation grant. It is designed
to place selected educators in
Morocco and Tunisia for a con
centrated five . weeks study of
the culture, art, history, and
geography of the two Arabic
countries.

surveyed
found

The group will depart from
the Asheville airport on July
19th for the flight via New
York and Madrid to Tangier,
Morocco. Several days will be
spent in Tangier. The group
then will travel to Fez, Mek
nes, Rabat, Marrakesh, and
Casablanca before a flight to
Tunis on Aug. 10th.
There, special lectures will
be presented to the group, as
orientation and an introduction
to Tunisia, by the staff of the
American Embassy. Visits will
be made to such historical
places as Tunis, Cathage, Utica,
Dougga, Bizerte, Sousse, and
Sfax. Lectures will be given by
host country natives and the
WCU faculty members.
Following the conclusion of
the study tour, individual mem
bers of the group will have the
opportunity to stop for several
days in Europe before return
ing to the United States.
The educator participants
will serve as special resource
persons in their respectiwe
school systems during , the
coming school year to help
plan and implement studies
on North Africa.

Hudson. His Cockney brother,

liamson. Both are making their
first appearance on the Flat
Rock Stage. In New York, Mr.
Hudson appeared in “Merry
Wives of Winsdor,” and has
appeared with George Segal
and Rosemary Murphy in “Ma
jor Barbara.” On television
he has appeared in “Robert
Browning: Dramatic Monolo
gues.” Walter Williamson has
worked at the Virginia Mu
seum Theatre in “Mara’tTSade”/'
“Arms and the Man,” and many
other shows.
.Tom Campbell, former Vaga
bdnd who worked with Otto
Preminger on the filming of
“Tell Me That You Love Me,
Junie Moon,” portrays Mr.
Onyx, chief of the internation
al criminals. Earl* Wentz has
the role of Noel Fordcr, one of
the crooks. This marks Mr.
Wentz’s second season at Flat
Rock, where last year he per
