Weaving Demonstration To Be 1
Held At Sherwood Forest 10th
There will be a demonstra
tion of weaving at the Sher
wood Forest Craft Shop on Sat
urday afternoon, July 10th,
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Mrs. Hazel Roberts, a resi
dent of Sherwood Forest and a
member of its workshop, will
work on a small portable loom.
Formerly of Captiva, Florida,
and St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs.
Roberts has done a great deal
of indigenous weaving in Flor
ida. The products of her looms
are on display and for sale in
the Sherwood Craft Shop, as
are her attractive articles of
macrame, which is so popular
just now.
This talented crafted invited
the public to visit the Craft
Shop on Saturday afternoon for
this interesting demonstration.
Sherwood Forest is just 8%
miles south of Brevard on High
way 276, and a colorful sign
at the entrance points the way
to the Craft Shop.
Today half of all women be
tween 18 and 64 years of age
are in the labor force, reports
the Labor Department’s Wom
en’s Bureau. Studies show that f
9 out 10 girls will work out- 1
side the home at some time in
their lives. <
