For these reasons, said Kenneth Schwartz, Real* tec Vice - President for Sales and Master of Ceremon ies at the reception, the pro ject has been called an “Uncity.” Displaying a development map, Mr. Schwartz briefly not ed the areas on the 3900-acre tract around Connestee Falls, six miles south of Brevard, where an 18-hole, championship golf course, lakes, bridle trails, Hiking trails, and all the spec ial resort facilities will be con structed. As a part of the program, local realtors and profession al people who have worked with Realtec in planning the development were introduced. So also were several of the Realtec and Connestee or ganization of fleers who will remain here and work with the project. Progressive Value Kealtec Vice - President for Operations, Roger Sheridan, who now has offices in the Bryant Building, also spoke briefly. Mr. Sheridan stressed the progressive value of the de velopment to Brevard and Transylvania County. The development, Mr. Sher idan pointed out, will involve the spending of millions of dollars, will employ local la. bor, and will bring new tax payers to Transylvania. He too, stressed the care that will be taken to preserve the natural beauty of the area and to protect the environ ment. Mr. Sheridan also cited the unusual and gracious friendli ness Realtec and the Connestee Corp. people have received from Transylvania people. He said this imposed a “burden” on Realtec to build nothing but the finest, most beautiful “uncity ”in the country so this wonderful trust and welcome shall not have been misplaced.
