It runs from 9:00 to 12:00 each day. The 14 - 17 year olds will hold their Bible School each night from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. We urge everyone who can to at tend Bible School as it is going to be a good school. All litera ture is new and very interest ing. For any further informa tion contact Mrs. Alvin Jones, the school leader. Everyone is welcome. As you enter the Solomar Jones Road you will «ee great improvements being mark'. The Girl Scouts and Brownies of Cedar Mountain are beautifying the entrance th^re. They work ed Saturday and they plan to do much more. Shrubbery will be planted and we all want to sav they arc doing a fine job. All work is being done under the direction of their leaders and Mr. Ed Jones and with the help of several others. The young ladies of the com Bethel Church Having Fish, Steak Supper The Bethel Baptist church on Mills Avenue is having a fish and steak supper Friday, July 23rd, from 4:30 until 8:00 p.m. All proceeds from the sup per will go to the building iund. munity will hold a bake sale and vegetable sale on the com munity center porch on Satur day, Julv 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The proceeds will go for a community prot ect. We hope all of you will come by and make a purchase. Last Saturday, Cub Scouts from Pack 3715 and their fath ers spent the day at Camp Daniel Boone. They all really enjoyed themselves. All the Cub Scouts received their Bob Cat Badges on the Thursday night before. Thcv were pre sented by Mr. L. E. Callender. The Boy Scouts have been hard at work also. They spend part of their Saturdays work ing at Caesar’s Head and they are doing a fine job. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Callender include Mr. and Mrs. Ken Gilbreath of Williamsburg, Virginia, Mrs. Bertha Adams of Morven, N. C., Mrs. Laura Lowery of Wesson, Miss., Mr. and Mrs. James Lowery of Brookhaven, Miss., and Mrs. Velma Delaney of Natchez, Miss. Mrs. Butch Skerrett and chil dren are spending some time in Cedar Mountain before join ing her husband in Jackson ville, Fla., where he is attend ing college. The Heath reunion was held the weekend of July 11. Rela tives from several states were present and everyone had a wonderful time. Mrs. Alvin Jones and chil dren spent a few days last week in Shelbv visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Holden. Mrs. Ellen Lee is spending this week in Charlotte with her sisters. Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Janie Pickel dmer Martindale, 85, of Lan caster, California, after declin ing health. Survivors include: one son, Grady Hambright; one grand son: granddaughter, of Lan caster, California; two sisters: Gora Shipman, of Piseah For s-'t, and Daisy Lee Couch, of Greenville, South Carolina; two ■mothers: Carmel Pickel«imer, if Enon, and Jeff Pickelsimer, )f Greenville, S.
