Moffitt Reunion Set August 8th The Moffitt reunion has been set for Sunday, August 8th. It will be held at Camp Straus, beginning at 1:00 o’clock. The announcement comes from George Moffitt, the presi dent, and Myrtle Arden, the secretary and treasurer. Entertainment is being plan ned for the event. Tommy Hooper, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Hooper of Route 2, Bre vard, is cooperating with the Extension Service and Re source Management Farm Program conducted by the TV A in this project. Tommy has planted approxi mately four acres in vegetables, which will be marketed on a pick-your-own basis. Some of the crops planted include: sweet corn, tomatoes, okra, squash, pole beans, onions, rad ishes, and lettuce. These vegetables will be harvested by the buyers themselves at a substantial savings. In addition to the savings in marketing vege tables will be much fresher Brevard High School Band Begins Rehearsals Aug. 16th Brevard High School Band rehearsals are announced to since the buyer will be pick ing directly from the field. Most of the vegetables are new in production, and avail able to the pnblic. Tommy is keeping a thorough set of records in order for the success of this project to be properly evaluated.
