Jacob Norman ran the first one on a 70 yard sprint, and almost broke another long scoring jaunt a few minutes later. Denny Griffin passed to Wayne Robinson for another long touchdown play that cov ered some 60 yards, and sopho more tailback Danny Walker looked fine in running over the third touchdown from about 35 yards out. Coach Ed Emory stated that he and his staff were pleased with many aspects of the scrimmage, particularly Bre vard’s defensive effort. “We still have many kinks to iron out before our opener with T. C. Roberson on September 3rd, however, and we’re going to have to come up with a real fine effort to beat them,’’ he said.
