The two outstanding Blue Blue Devils have both been naiped to play on the West squad in the Coaches Annual East-West game to be played in Greensboro on Thursday, July 27. This is the latest honor to come to the two, who have accrued a number of awards and hcnors for their out standing play for Brevard High over the past three sea sons. Griffin, who has signed a prant-in-aid with the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, suffered a shoulder injury mid way of this past season, but he is expected to be fully recover ed and ready to go in plenty of time for the mid-summer grid classic. This will be the second post-season appearance for Holtzclaw, who performed brilliantly in a losing cause for the North Carolina All Stars in the annual Shrine Bowl game at Charlotte last December. He has signed to attend Clemson University next, fall The two combined over their three year tenure at Brevard High for a number of thrilling plays, with Griffin passing to Holtzclaw considered to be one of the most feared combina tions in the area. Chances are that the com bination will click at least several times more at Greens boro before the two go their separate ways next fall.
