Fred Saunders Promoted
At The Olin Corporation
F’-ed H. Saunders, Jr., of
Brevard, has been promoted to
Production Coordinator in the
Production Control Department
of Olin Corporation’s Ecusta
Paper Division, according to C.
K. Robbins, Manager of Ma
teriasls and Distribution.
Mr. Saunders has worked in
Production Control since 1959,
and in 1967 was promoted to
Production Scheduler. His work
with Ecusta began in the Ma
chine Room in May, 1955.
He previously worked with
his father in the Saunders Up
holstering Shop at Wavnes
ville and with Dayton Rubber
Company.
He is a native of Waynes
ville.
Mr. and Mrs. Saunders, the
former Lena Frady of Waynes
ville, have three children and
are members of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints in Hendersonville. They

Farmers Market Now Open
Longer Hours Each Day
To meet the demand of the
morning shoppers, George
Millner and Alan Dean, co
owners of the Brevard Farmers
Market, have increased the
number of hours that their
business will be open. The
schedule now includes Monday
through Friday from 10:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m. and on Sundays
from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
More local produce is being
added to the shelves as it be
comes available in the county.
Persons who wish to sell pro
duce to the Farmers Market
should call their new number
883-2771 during business hours.
Dean or Millner will then in
form the individual when his
produce might be needed at the
market.
The Farmers Market is also
retailing a limited quantity of
crafts and flowers. Homemade
bread, jellies, jams and canned
goods will be added later in the
summer. Persons making these
items should call the market

Distance Running Camp To
Be Sponsored At College
Brevard College and the
Florida Track Club will spon
sor a Distance Running Camp
designed to meet the needs
of yonng age groups, high
school, college athletes, jog
gers and master competitors.
The clinic will be held July
8 through 12 at Brevard Col
lege.
Some of the Florida Track
Club members that will be
represented are Jack Bache
loe, a 9th place finisher in
the 1972 Olympic Marathon,
Ken Misner, a member of
the A.A.V. National Cross
Country Team; and Barry
Brown, a 8:38 steeple chaser.

for lectures.

tember 1941, Mr. White was a
Foreman prior to his recent
promotion. All of his Ecusta

Born in Winston - Salem, he
attended schools in Henderson
County and graduated from
Hendersonville High School
He is a member of the Hen
dersonville Kiwanis dob and
is active in civic and sports ac
tivities Allstar Basketball and
the Baseball Club. He served
