This money is desperately needed for construction, renovation and repair of school facilities. Please consider these facts: 1. If the School Bond Referendum is approved, the Transylvania County Schools will receive $1,145,548.29. 2. The money allocated to our school administrative unit is a direct grant from the State. It DOES NOT have to be repaid by Transylvania County. 3. PASSAGE OF THE BOND ISSUE WILL NOT REQUIRE AN INCREASE IN STATE TAXES. North Carolina can afford to issue these bonds under its present tax structure. 4. PASSAGE OF THE BOND ISSUE MEANS THAT LESS MONEY WILL BE NEEDED FROM LOCAL TAXES FOR FUTURE IMPROVEMENT OF FACILITIES. Your vote "For" the School Bonds will be a vote for the school children of Transylvania County. Sincerely yours, (jampaign Chairman ' A Transylvania County " V Sound Investment in Tomorrow's Education (SITE) 1 •
