The role of David’s girl friend will be taken by Karen Southerland and John Holland will play Rodger, Miss B’s gentleman friend. Bill Moser will play the part of the lawyer. “Enter Laughing” is based on the autobiographical reminiscences of Carl Reiner as a stage-struck boy from the Bronx during the depression. The original 1963 New York hit play starred Alan Arkin, Irving Jacobson, Michael J. Pollard, Alan Mowbray, Vivian Blaine, Sylvia Sidney, Barbara Dana and Shimen Ruskin. In 1967 “Enter Laughing” was made into a hit motion picture featuring Jose Ferrer, Shelly Winters, Elaine May, Jack Gilford, Reni Santoni, Don Rickies and Jerry Or bach. The play, which calls for a cast of 11 men and 4 women, 17 scenes and nine sets, tells of David Kolowitz, an 18-year-old young man who works in Mr. Foreman’s machine shop but who constantly dreams of becoming a big star. His adventures as he pursues his ambitions with a second job as an apprentice in a seedy theatre troup make for a laugh-provoking, often poignant play. Production dates for “Enter Laughing” are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, at 8:15 p.m. at the Brevard High School auditorium. Admission is by season membership or individual tickets may be purhcased at the door, the price being $2.50 for adults and $1.00 for students. Crossword Puzzle ACROSS 1. Genuine 5. Insect , 9.
