Mr. K. C Bradley Dead. . The many friends of Mr. K. Q. Brad- dy, of Bladen county, formerly a real dent of Cumberland, will learn wilh regret that he died at 9 o'clock Wed nesday morning. He has been In fall ing health for several months, being a victim of the dread disease, consump tion, and his death was not unexpect ed. In fact, he passed through Fay ettevllle only a tew days ago, on his way home from Orange, N. J, where he had been tor treatment, but which had failed to relieve him. Mr. Braddy was one of the fore most citizens of Bladen county. He was an industrious and successful farmer, owning a large, farm near Westbrook. He served throughout the Civil War with distinction, The deceased was TO years old and is survived by a wife and nine chil dren, aa follows: Mrs. Mary Hobba, of Clinton; Mrs. H. The loss to Warren Prior ft Sops Is estimated at $200. A Vigorous Octogenarian. Mr. J. A. Cameron, who resides In Harnett county, near Spout Springs, was in the city yesterday. Mr. Cam eron Is In many respects a most re markable man. Although 85 years old. he retains his vigor and activity in a wonderful degree and has lost none of his mental or physical strength. He Is still an active, busy man and applies himself closely to his daily work. He has Just completed a dam for the Cr atan Club at Manchester. He Is actively engaged in work o! 'this kind and does much of the labor himself, often remaining waist deep In the water for hoars, with never s touch of rheumatism. He says he can walk all day at a clipping three-mile gait' and not mind it; eats his three square meals and sleeps like a top. He attributes his health and preserva tion to a careful, temperate life. Hi Is not entirely abstemtus, however, bat on the contrary asserts that he Is "one of those fellows who likes a little bit of anything." ' A much longer life still to you.
