Miss Mary Lizzie Burks of Am herst, ya., is visiting her sister, Mrs. Norman Miller. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Hernandez of Jacksonville, Fla., are visiting Mrs. M. R. Allen. : Miss Emma Tyson of Narcoosaj Fla., is visiting Mrs. Pike at Laurel Park. Miss Ella Barber, who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Huff, has re turned to her home in South Carolina. Miss Jemima Rhymer has accepted a position at the office of Drs. Kirk and Cliff. Miss Cora Fisher, who has been visiting relatives in Tryon, has re turned to the city. Mrs. Dick Clarke and little son, who have been spending the winter in New Castle, Pa., have returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Flake Houston have rented their home to Mr. and Mrs. Ramm of Charleston, S. C. Rev. W. N. Flanders and wife and little daughter, Nancy, have returned from Kerrville, Texas. Miss Belle Carter of Fruitland, who has been visiting Miss Myrtle Bennett, is spending a few days in Asheville. Miss Bessie Camp has accepted the position of superintendent at Patton Memorial Hospital. Miss Ruth Wooten, who was called to Columbia, S. C, on account of the illness of her mother, has returned home. Miss Eleanor Sargent has returned from Columbia College, Columbia, S. C. Miss Kate Shipman will leaye soon to attend summer school at' Chapel Hill. x Mrs. Helen Grimes and children, who have been visiting relatives in Ohio, have returned home. C ;"'".' Mrs. J. F. Truly of Alcoa, Tenn., is visiting relatives in the city. Mrs. Truly was before her marriage, Mrs. Shepherd of this city. Mrs. John S. Forrest, who has been visiting relatives in Knoxville, Tenn., and Charleston, West Va., has re turned to the city. Mrs. A. B. Freeman, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Coats, at Mars Hill, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Johnson, who have, been visiting relatives in the city, have returned to their, home in Atlanta. J. S. Sargent and son, Joseph, have returned from a motor trip of several weeks through South Carolina and Georgia. Miss Elmyra Dawson, who has been with Miss M. E. Woodall in her millinery department for the season, leaves this week for her home m Baltimore, Md. Miss Pauline Orr graduated last week from Patton Memorial Hospital after three years of training. Miss Orr will remain as head nurse in the hospital. Saw Butterfly Society (Written for last week.) ' "The Butterflies" was given Friday evening at the Opera House by the senior class of the city school.
