Votes can be secured by bringing job printing to the office. We do any kind of printing from a visiting card to a newspaper. Votes can be secured by selling our stationery consisting of tablets, writing paper, note books, pencils, pens, ink etc. With an hour or so work each day you may secure tnousands of votes for yourself or friend as the case may , be. There are a great many mer chants who are in need of job work right now and if they are canvassed you may. receive the order, thereby making many votes for yourself or friend. Candidates are not restricted in gettng subscriptions or votes to this city or county, but may get them in any part of the United States. In connection with the votes given on subscriptions we will publish a coupon in every issue of the Daily and Weekly Hustler valued at 25 votes in the Daily and 25 votes in the French Broad Hustler. The local fans are satisfied of one fact, that Hen dersonville has got the best team in the league and that she will win the majority of the games with the present pennant leaders. Representative Anderson, of Savannah, speak ing to the question of personal privilege in the House of Repre sentatives, denounces Rev. Len G. Broughton as a willful, ma licious, reckless, malignant and vicious liar and his statements were endorsed by Rev. J. A. Slade, a Baptist minister from Muskogee county. Mr. Tom Staton, a substantial and highly respected citizen, of Zirconia, died at, his home there Tuesday morning. Mr. Staton was of advanced age, 82 years, and last Spring sustained a se vere fall from a wagon, from the effects ; of which he never completely recovered. Pender and little Miss Ella Banning Pender are spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Pender Capt W. D. Miller has been quite indisposed, but is improv ing. The proposition to lay cement sidewalks on all side streets in Hendersonville should be sup ported by every progressive citizen of the city. Uzzell and company and Edwards & Broughton Co., joint bidders forthe biennial contract for r the state printing have accepted the counter, proposition of the " state printing com mission and the state printing will bd'divided ;as nearly equal be-' tween these two printing' houses as is practicable in conforming to the wishes and preferences of the various state departments. The counter proposition just ac cepted is on tfre bssis of the for mer contract with the Uzzell company except for a reduction in the rate for quarter binding. . Pleasant Hill Reunion. Editor Hustler: According f to annual custom, the people of the Pleasant Hill country will have their annual Memorial Reunion on Saturday before the third Sunday in Aug ust. Maxwell and daugh ter, Miss Lula, visited Mrs. Bell Barnwell Saturday. Miss Maude Maxwell spent last week with her sister, Mrs. Bell Barnwell. Mrs. Mollie Freeman visited her uncle, Mr. Tom Whitaker, at Roosevelt Saturday and Sunday. A crowd of the "youngsters' of this section attended services at Mt Zion church Sunday, spending a few hours at the Bon nie Bell Inn on their return. Brookshire and family, of Hendersonville, visited Mrs. C P. Jones Sunday. The Sunday School Conference at Upward Saturday and Sunday was largely attended. Proceed ings were interesting and dinner in abundance both days. Miss Bertha Hill, of Upward, was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Brown on Sunday.
