ABOUT OUB THURSDAY. Mrs. J. F. ' Griffith, with hpr son, of Salisbury, are at Dr. J. Steven Brown's home. Mrs. T. B. Graham and Miss Emmie Hunnicutt, of Greenville, S. C, are at Mrs. Thomas'. Mrs. Wm. Berrie and daughter Miss Lottie Berrie are at the Mountain City Inn. "The Toy Shop," an excellent entertainment, it is said, will be given at the Auditorium tonight. The excellent display daily made in Brannons Bakery win dow is enough to make a chronic dyspeptic smile. Mr. A. C. Haltiwanger, of the T. C. Williams Realty Company, is in town, superintending con struction work on the Hyman Heights property. Dr. H. H. Briggs and family, of Asheville, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Patterson, at their beautiful home, "Pat's Hill" on the Hebron Drive. The street force is now busy on Park Avenue making neces sary repairs. Chairman Morrow states that all weeds, etc., on back streets will be cut down at once. Mr. and Mrs. John Arledge, Miss Annie Justus, of this city, and Mr. Jeffries of Spartanburg, spent Wednesday the guests of Mrs. J. S. Everett, the well known capitalist of Cleve land, Ohio, passed through town this morning enroute to his sum mer home on the Brevard Rail road. Mr. Everett's home "Forest City" is one of the show places of that big city a great, massive pile, fashioned after the old English castles. Geo. W. Tilson, the well-known music man of Asheville, is here todayon business. The concern represented so well by Mr. Til son supplied the splendid new nstrument for the First Baptist Church here and that gentleman largely responsible for the consummation of the deal. George has any number of friends in Hendersonville who wish him all kinds of success. The Hendersonville Realty Company now has a large force of men at work, continuing the work of beautifying Hyman Heights. The streets are being graded and sidewalks placed, which makes this property the most modern for residential pur poses. They have a limited num ber of lots for sale, which will be oiferedby their force of sales men, beginning this week. Their automobile will arrive tomorrow as a mode of conveyance to prop erty.
