Spartanburg, S. G, Feb. 21. The Sixteenth annual South Atlantic States Music Festival will take, place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Fri day, April 13th, 14th, and 15th, and will -include five concerts on Wed nesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, and Thursday and Friday afternoons. For sixteen years, this annual event has exerted a power ful influence on the educational life of the South. It has always stood for the highest ideals in music, and has steadily advanced toward their realization. In programs, artists, and standards of performance,, it has endeavored to build on a truly artistic foundation, and has risen to greater heights each year, until it now stands acknowledged to be one of the few great musical events of the .country. t Unusual care has been givep to the preparation of the program and the selection of soloists for the com ing festival. At no time in the history of the festival has so strong an aggregation of aitistjs been ga ered together. Of the ten artists on the roster, no one but has won an international reputation, and many have gained eminence in the; lead ing opera houses of Eorope, as j well as f. this country. It is certain that the work of the soloists this year will eclipse all previous festivals,.,- .. - ri-w-AMMB JOHNSTON'S Special White Goods Sale Now On wide soft-finish Bleach Iwide fine white Cambric I wide Curtain Swiss ' 'colored Percales I wide white Cannon Cloth I wide fine Percale white shirt-waist goods i finish Chambray ra pure Linen dress goods sheer white Lawn ) fast colored Prints f wide Embroidery jf white mercerised waist goods white Damask Napkins white Table Damask Jy made Pillow Cases Jy made large Sheets dy made Aprons 3 Corset Covers 1 6 Corsets all sizes 71-2 7 1-2 7 1-2 71-$ 10c 10c 10c 10c ' 10a. 10c 5 and 6c ' 5 and 10c . 15c 10c 25c and 50c 10c Oc 10,15,25c' 25c 50 and 75c f: S.
