F. Orr, as invited guests to join with them in the celebration of the fiftieth anni ersary of their wedding. Mr. and Mrs Orr are two among f he old people of our community vhose lives are highly appreciated oy all. They have raised a family f nine children who command the espect of all whom they meet. Six f the shildren were present: Robert i. Orr, Benjamin F. Orr, Morris N. jrr, Mesaames w. A. Morris, u. n. Campfleld. J. A. Laughter. Also fhe sons-in-law, Rev. W. A. Morris. C. E. Campfield. and Jas. A. Laugh ter; and daughters-in-law, Mesdames R. K. Orr, B. F. Orr, M. N. Orr, and several grandchildren. Among oth ers present were: B. B. Middleton, E. D. Middleton; Mrs. A. B. Fullam Mrs. Naomi Huggins, Mrs. El'e i Corn of Brevard, brothers and sisters of Mrs. Orr, and Samuel Sentell, H D. Drake, and J. B. Drake and wife. At one o'clock the pleasing an nouncement was made. "Dinner is ready.". Then we marched into the dining room and surrounded a table teeming with the good things that had been prepared for the occasion. It looked like a wedding dinner in deed. After dinner we reassembled in the sitting room and listened to some excellent music led by R. K. Orr. The choir was composed of I his brothers and sisters. A devo tional service consisting of a short lesson and prayer was conducted by the writer. The most enjoyable feature of the day was an address by Uncle Sam Sentell whose subject was "The old settlers of the community," and he closed by relating his religious ex perience. Uncle Sam is ninety-two years old, getting rather feeble bur his mind is still active. He wore as a souvenir his father's coat of home spun blue jeans. Following this address prayers were offered by H. D. Drake ano Mrs. W. A. Morris. Then the Or. children formed in line and their father came forward and gave them etch a present of silver. l'ne day was highly enjoyed b all present. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Orr and their children many more nappy years. T. A. Drake.
