1 Buick production has increased so immensely
* that it has been possible to make greater
strides each season in the handling of each
operation. The buyer of a Buick car profits
by the consequently lowered manufacturing
costs.
O For twenty years the name Buick has been in
" delibly linked with those car qualities that
appeal most profoundly to car owners—sturdi
ness, power and unfailing dependability.
3 The biggest advantage of buying a Buick car
is that you get a Buick Valve-in-head motor
and properly related chassis.

ASK HOME BOARD
FOR $5,000 YEAR
If Association Will Reduce In
debtedness on Round Hill Aca
demy to £20,000. —Total Indebted
ness $25,86.62.
At the special session of the
Green River Association Dr. A.
E. Brown made the proposition to
the association that if they would
reduce the indebtedness on Round
Hill Asademy to $20,000 that he
would ask the Home Board jl or
$5,000.00 per year for four years,
provided the association would
keep the interest paid on the
whole. This money was to be
raised by March.
At that time the total indebted
ness on Round Hill Academy was
$25,868.87. That made 85,868.87
that was to be raised. The
returns to me March from all
available sources amount to $4,-
667.62. It will be seen that we
are $201.25 short. There is pledg
ed, but not paid or guaranteed
$200.00 and $235.00 more guaran
teed. If this is counted we have
$5,002.62. That would still leave
a balance of $866.25 neither pledg
ed nor provided for in any way
whatever. Then there is the inter
est to provide for this The
writer made a motion at the
association that the trustees
should meet March Ist and
canvass the returns and the con
tinuance of the school should be
left to their judgement. The time
for the meeting was an exceed
ingly rainy, day and there was not
a quorum present. They meet tat
Marion Monday after the second
Sunday in March for a final decis
ion. If the canvass is, pushed vig
orously until that time by those
churches not doing anything and
the friends of the school gener
ally this can be raised. There will
be no time to lose. IT CAN BE
DONE.
Now, there are some considera
tions, that I wish to submit in re
it is not possible i'or the churches
es to consider and I want, where
it is possible, for the churches to
consider these and write me their
candid opinion about them. Where
it is not possible for thecharches
to consider these before the meet
ing of the trustees in Marion on
the 13th. I earnestly ask that in
dividuals write me what they
think about these. We want the
voice of the constituents of Round
Hill in this matter. If the school
is continued it must be" distinctly
understood:
1. That the money available will
not reduce the debt to $20,000.00
and pay the interest this year.
It will reduce >t about $3,500.00
and pay the interest this year. If
the whole amount is rased it c&n
be reduced $4,000.00. That will
leave us to raise at some future
time the remaining $1,868.67 and
the interest each year until paid.
In my judgement this is only pos
sible way to continue the school.
In this event, we will have to keep
at it.
2. There will be insurance and
repairs to provide, not to say any
thing about equipment. This will
not be a large item, but now is
the time to be f". ank about it. I
propose to let the people know
about it and to keep faith with
the funds and facts.
3. The school is doing exceed
ingly fine work at this time and
1 feying all of its current expenses.
The spirit is fine and the outlook
encouraging.
4. This is the time to decide def
initely about the future and if
the churches are willing to stand
back of the school for these things
it can be carried on to a great
work; but if they are not, now is
the time to speak. It cannot be
done by a few individuals or one
or two churches. It must be done
by the work generally. Write me
what you think about this mat
ter at once.
Round Hill people raised all that
they promised and more. They are
at the top and on the honor roll
'and above. Hoping that the best
thing will be done at the coming
meeting of the trustees and prom
ising to let it be known immedi
ately after they meet, I am,
• Yours cordially,
M. A. ADAMS, Treas. Imp. Fund.
