Mesdames Weathers and C. M. Whis nant will be hostesses at that time. ! Any one knowing they will be able :to be present at that time please notify Mesdames Weathers or Whis nant not later than May 20th. There are some members of the music de partment who have not paid their de partmental dues and are asked to please bring their dues at this meet- I ing in order to get the books in shape to make a report. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Young, of Lincolnton, are visiting relatives here this week. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Whitlock and family, Mr. J. H. Wilkinson and Miss Myrtle Wilkinson spent Sunday at the home of Mr. Chester Young, near Cathey's Creek. Mr. Joe T. Walker, of Charlotte, spent the week-end here with his family. Mr. and Mrs. F. I. Barber and chil dren spent Sunday with Mr. Barber's mother at Ilendersonville. Mr. and Mrs. Hague Padgett at tended the May festival in Spartan burg last week. Misses Nell and Lilah Padgett spent last week-end in Charlotte. Mesdames J. F. Weathers, E. F. McGruder, Misses Myrtle McDaniel and Xatherine Holmes Goggans and Messrs J. F. and Flay Weathers, Jr., attended the May Festival in Spar tanburg on Friday evening. We will have another shipment of potted plants Friday afternoon at Courtney's 10c Store. Mesdames J. H. Thomas and R. W. Minish have returned from a delight ful visit to friends in Spartanburg. Rev. John S. Wood attended a Ma : sonic meeting held in Charlotte last week.
