I ! RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. FARMERS TO GO ON TOUR OF INSPECTION A special delegation of farmers will go to Asheville on Friday, Nov. 27, which is the day after Thanksgiving. The purpose of the tour is to inspect the Farmers Federation of Buncombe and Henderson counties. The trip will bo made by automobiles, leaving Rutherfordton, from the court house at 8:00 o'clock a. m. The farmers who have automobiles are urged to take them and carry a load of their friends. Mrs. Gold is ' very pleasantly remembered by the : Ladies Betterment Society of Ellen ! boro. She organized and was the first I president of the Society. She has laide'd very materially in the building iup and interest of Ellenboro and j I more especially of our school, for i which she worked so faithfully and i deserves much credit. Those enjoy ing Mrs. Gold's kind hospitality were, Mesdames John Martin, E. A. Mar tin, Joe Giddings, W. H. Payne, O. C. Houston, J. E. Bland, Misses Cleo I Burns and Carrie Harrill.
