The December meeting of the Mu- j sic Club which was held in the home j of Mrs. Harry Long was one of rare beauty and. the program was imbued j with all the charm and sweet spirit- j ual mysticism characteristic of the Christmas season. The house was j tastefully decorated in the Christmas ■ colors, holly and evergreens and the \ soft glow of the shaded lights and ; candles lent to the occasion a delight-! /ully festive air. The first number of the program was an interesting paper on Religious American Composers, read by Mrs. R. L. Reinhardt. This was followed by two piano duets America's favor ite marches, composed by Philip Sousa and delightfully rendered by Mrs. Hague Padgett and Mrs. R. W. Minish. The Voice in the Wilderness was sung effectively by Miss Mary Wilder and an appealing Christmas story was read by Mrs. B. F. Flack. A pleasing vocal number was the trio, "Knights of the Cross," by Harry Rowe Shelly, sung by Mesdames Flay Weathers, Hague Padgett and R. E. Biggerstaff. A piano duet, "Under the Mistletoe," by Engleman, played by Miss Luna Taylor and Mrs. F. R. Wilkins, gave an air of gayety to the program and was greatly en joyed by the club members. The total assets and liabilities as of Nov. 30, 1925 are $313,003.07. These figures speak the truth and show forth the business side of a Building and Loan Association. If it were not among the safest institutions on earth these figures would not be available. As a home builder and mortgage lifter it has no equal. twelve depositors to every two borrowers. If this rule were carried out our financial condition would be set at rest and your could be attended to on short order. The January Series opens on the 2nd.
