H. C. SISK DEAD Mrs. Ellen Romedia Sisk, wife of Rev. H. C. Sisk, aged 57, better known as "Aunt Mead" died Wednes- day morning February 8 at her home on Park street, of complication of diseases, after an extended illness of three weeks. She had been unconsc ious for thirteen days and ddath was not unexpected. She was united in marriage to Rev. H. C. Sisk nearly forty-one years ago. To this union were born twelve children of whom eleven survive. Her husband, Henry C. Sisk, and the following children survive: E. C. Sisk of Marion, J. J. and H. A. Sisk of Shelby, Walter Sisk, of Lexing ton, Mrs. Lox Hardin of Long Beach, Cal., and A. H. Sisk and Plato, Mrs. Lillie McCluney, Mrs. Detta Harris, Mrs. W. N. Henderson and Mrs. Pet terson Sisk of Forest City; twenty- six grandchildren and one great grandchild, also survive, while eight grandchildren preceeded her to the grave. Mr. Gaither Watts of Lincoln ton, a brother and Mrs, Mary Sparks a sister, of Casar, also survive. Funeral services will be held Thurs day (today) at 2 o'clock, p. m.~ in the Missionary Methodist church, of which she was a consistent member. Rev. H. G. Kiser, her pastor, will have charge of the services, assist ed by others. WOMAN'S CLUB Observing Dramatics Week The Forest City Dramatics • Club is celebrating- National Dramatics week by entertaining the members of the Woman's Club and their hus bands at an open program at the High School Auditorium on Friday evening, February 10, at 8 o'clock. The program will consist of two one act plays, "The Trysting Place," by Eooth Tarkington, and "The Secont Blessin'," a folk play of the Caro lina Mountains by Mrs. D. H. Sut ton. The latter play has been enter ed by the Dramatics Club in the state contest. Every member of the Dramatics club is urged to be present and are asked to invite and bring along their husband or friend. 1 CAROLEEN NEWS 1/ OF LATE INTEREST Caroleen, Feb. 7.—On Monday evening the Alda Grayson Circle of the Baptist W. M. U. met with Mrs. Jim Earley. Miss Ella Lynch was in charge of the program. A very in teresting study was given. Miss Ora Smart opened the meeting by a short but impressive prayer, followed by an appropriate Bible reading by Mrs. Waldo Lynch. The regular monthly program was carried out, and the business was transacted. The circle decided to make table covers for the Alexander Home for Moth erless Children at Union Mills. A speaker will be present at the Mis sionary meeting at the church Sunday afternoon, representing the Home. Mrs. Earley served delicious fruit to the following members present, Mrs. C. A. Sparks, Mrs. Oscar Lynch, Mrs. Waldo Lynch, Mrs. R. P. Earley, Mrs. Mary Hamrick, Misses Othelo Ferree, Ora Smart, Ella Lynch, Eth ral Ebrom, and Minnie Harrill. Mr. and Mrs. T. C.
