"A Fortunate Calamity." A comedy
drama in three acts, was presented
Wednesday evening, March 21, at
Shiloh Consolidated school by the
high school pupils. The play was
directed by Prof. H. L. Wells and
showed careful study and good talent
on the part of both pupils and direc
tor. The cast was well selected and
all carried their parts so successfully j

j heroine. Alton Tate, as villian, with
his accomplice, Orrie Bobbins, lent a
trend of suspense to the audience un
til the climax was reached when the
villian was trapped by a revenue of- !
ficer, played by J. B. Robbins. Elva j
Spurlin and Ila Bradley, others of the '
cast were all chosen for their parts |
and were at ease on the stage.

Mr. A. G. Hamrick has been ser
iously ill for several days, and was
taken to the Rutherford hospital last
Friday for treatment.
Miss Myrtle Cole spent last Thurs
day night with Miss Beatrice Jones.

est City, were visitors in this com
munity Sunday.
Mr. Grady Cole and family, of Har
ris, spent Saturday night and Sun
