Enfertains Sunday School Class Mrs. B. B. Doggett entertained her Sunday school c«ass on last Satur day afternoon by taking them to Lake Lure on an egg hunt and pil nic. The class is composed of the following: , Misses Mira Morris, Cordie Walker, Lillie Marks, Dor othy Green, Nellie Clarke, Jennie Lou Doggett and Gwendolyn Procter, Miss Virginia Magness was an in ' vited guest. THE FOREST CITY COURIER, THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 1928 BAPTIST CHOIRS RENDER EASTER MUSIC PROGRAM Easter Concert at Firyt Bap tist Church is Greatly Enjoyed ..By Large Audience On last Sunday evening at 8 p. m. a eacred Easter concert was render ed by the choir, of the First Baptist Church, First on program was a violin pre- ' lude by Mr. A, M. Glickman which! was played in his usual inimitable' style. The processional, "With Happy I Voices Singing'-' was given by both the adult and yOung peoples choirs, singing as >they entered from both I doors of the ehurch, they marched f down the aisles and took their places in the choir, the young people tak ing the seats on the rostrum right in front of the kdult choir. This was a splendid number and well rendered, the voices of the two choirs blending well. Anthem—"Gladness in the Gar den" was well rendered. Male quar tet—"He is Risen," composed by our ! townsman, Mr. A. T. Helton, was ! rendered by Messrs. Hamrick, Petty, Stahl and Smart; Which' was greatly enjoyed. Solo—"Golden Sunshine Follows Night," was effectively ren dered by Miss Ruth Meares, w l hti po r ssesses a sweet soprano voice. Anthem —"Rejoice O Ye Righteous" was well rendered by the ad|ilt choir. Solo— "The Heavenly Song," by Mr. A. M. Hughey. Everybody greatly enjoyed this. Solo and chorus—-"Living For "Jesus" by Miss Mae Hill and young j peoples choir was a most effective number, and Miss Hill recefved many I compliments and was well supported jby the young girls. Easter carol—j j "Dawn Eternal" which was composed by Mr. M. L. Mr. Petty had 'charge of the decorations which was beautiful setting and reflected credi it on hi? good taste. Last but not least, the organist, Miss Katherine Goggins,* was beautifully dressed in a white, evening style, and who de serves much credit for this program, j which the church apprefciktes.
