Takes Wind Out of Asheville Forest City Hi defeated Asheville Hi here Saturday in a seven inning game, 17 to 2. T. Blanton's delivering was puz zling to the visitors as they could only get three hits off him, while the locals were pounding Black for nine teen hits. Forest City scored twice in the first inning on a double, r. single and a sacrifice fly. In the second the locals pushed three more runs across on the error, a single and a double. During the third inning Forest City scored a trio of runs on three singles, a double and an error. Asheville scored their two runs in the fourth on a walk, an error and two singles while Forest City was held scoreless. Pigford at' the Rutherford hospital Monday. Mr. Pigford whose hoaie is at Blacksburg, S. C., is in the hos pital for treatment and possibly an operation. Mr. Roland Wall, of Brookhaven, Miss., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Wall. Mr. Wall had business in Louisville, Ky., and while there decided to come to see his folks. Mexican bandits killed nearly half a hndred offenseless passengers on a train a few days ago. Then posses of police and citizens rounded up the criminals and shot them, without even giving them a chance to go crazy or enjoy the ministrations of the sob squad.
