"JACK" BLANTON WINS
I
Lawrence "Jack" Blanton, young
light-weight boxer of Cliffside, won
the most spectacular victory of his
career Saturday night, August 4, at |
Chesnee, knocking Lloyd "Parris,"
the 170 lb. boxer of Chesnee out in
1 and 1-2 rounds.
Although "Parris," had more than
thirty pounds advantage, "Jack," out
classed him from start to finish, Par
ris suffering two knock-downs in the
first round, the bell saving him at the
count of five the last time.
At the beginning of the second
round it was evident that it was but
a few seconds before the end. At
the end of one minute, "Jack" com
pletely finished with a clean knock
out, which marked the most thrilling
fight of his career.

The same public discernment which made Essex the world's

It is impressive to know that po'nt for point the Essex Super-Six
equals or excels any car up to *3OO or *4OO greater cost. But cold
