We have had several cases here, but fortunately there have been no serious results that we have heard of except Mr. Early who is at the Rutherford Hospital for treatment. Rev. R. C. Smith brought two fine messages Sunday morning and eve ning and the B. Y. P. U.'s are doing good work with a good attendance considering the fact that many are J ill. The Wednesday evening services are very interesting as well as in structive. The pastor is giving lec tures in the study of the Bible and all are asked to take part in the study and discussion. Next Wednes day evening the second book of Chronicles will be studied. ANNUAL BAZAAR » The ladies of the Methodist church held their annual Bazaar at the R. R. Mrs. Willard Harris died at her home about two and a half miles from here on the Chesnee road at eight o'clock Sunday morning and was buried at Mt. Pleasant, Cleveland county Monday afternoon. Mr. Archie Hicks of Charlotte was a business visitor here Monday. Misses Emily and Vena Camp of Forest City were in town Monday af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Freeman and spent Sunday with Mrs. Freeman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Wilson at Shelby. Mr. A. M. Haynes returned Sun day night from Florida where he spent last week. Mrs. James Gibson was taken to the Shelby Hospital on Thursday of I Ilast week and underwent an opera tion Friday morning. Her many friends wish for her a speedy re covery.
