129 BUSHELS CORN ON ACRE
In giving an account of the prizes
awarded, last week, by the Ruther
fordton Kiwanis Club to farmers
winning in a contest sponsored by
the club, The Courier failed to men
tion Mr. A. G. Hamrick's yield. Mr.
Hamrick entered the Kiwanis corn
growing contest, and his yield was
129 bufehels, 35 pounds shelled corn
on one acre. Mr. Hamrick resides on
Rutherfordton, R-l, in the 'Shiloh
community.

of the United States district court
will convene in Shelby on March 17,
with Judge E. Yates Webb, of Shel

BIBLE STUDY CLASS.
The United Bible study class,
which was recently organized, meets
every Thursday night at the Mission
ary Methodist church. A large num

This class is for members of any
