HAMRICK GROWS 129 BUSHELS CORN ON ACRE In giving an account of the prizes awarded, last week, by the Ruther fordton Kiwanis Club to farmers winning in a contest sponsored by the club, The Courier failed to men tion Mr. A. G. Hamrick's yield. Mr. Hamrick entered the Kiwanis corn growing contest, and his yield was 129 bufehels, 35 pounds shelled corn on one acre. The United Bible study class, which was recently organized, meets every Thursday night at the Mission ary Methodist church. A large num ber were present last Thursday even ing, including several ladies. This class is for members of any and all denominations, and will ro tate its meeting periods from one church to another in the city. There are no fees, dues or collections. It is expected that a student of the Bible will be present at the session next Thursday evening and give a lecture.
