STOCKHOLDERS ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED Corporation Files List of Stock holders of Defunct Banks, and Amount of Assess ment Against Each. s i The six Rutherford county banks which closed on February 3-4, 1930. had a total of 301 stockholders who owned a total of $475,000 of stock. The Farmers Bank had 153 stockhold ers who owned a total of $250,000; the Rutherford County Bank & Trust Company had a total of 114 stock holders who owned a total of S2OO, 000 worth of stock, while the Chim ney Rock Bank & Trust Companj had 34 stockholders who owned i total of $25,000. Between the tim of the closing 1 of the banks and thf filing of the report, part of the as sessments against .the stockholders oi all the banks was paid in. The as sessment report, at the time of fil ing, showed a total amount of $203,- 200 still due on the Farmers Banfc stock; $191,800 due of the Ruth erford County Bank & Trust Co., and $21,300 due on the Chimnej Kock Trust Company stock. Tax Listing Must Be Done in April This Year and Hereafter j SPECIAL NOTICE is hereby given all persons owning property subject to taxation in Rutherford County to return to the tax lister of the township in which their property is located a full, complete and detailed statement of each and every piece and kind of property, real, personal and mixed, which said per sons may own or control on the first day of April, 1930 together with as near as possible, the true value in money of all such property owned by them, or which may be under their control as agent, guardian, admin istrator or otherwise. Said return must be made to the tax listers on or after the first Monday of A]>ril but before the first Monday in May, 1930. The law re quires a penalty of ten percent additional tax to be charged on all property not listed within the time and in the manner prescribed by law. All persons who own property and wilfully fail to list it within the time and in the manner prescribed by law are subject to in dictment for a misdemeanor. Females or non-residents of the township where the property is situated, and persons physically un able to attend and file a list of their property, may ap point agents to list their property for them. Such ag ent shall be required to qualify by stating under oath that he knows the extent and has knowledge of the true valuation of the property to be listed. Tate aged 68, died at his home here Monday, April 7, after a brief illness and was buried at Floyd's Creek Baptist church Tuesday afternoon, April 8, with Rev. J. A. Brock of Caroleen in charge of the services. Hightower and Matheny had charge of the remains. A large crowd at tended. Pall-bearers were: Grover Wood, Colen Rollins, John Henson, Boyd Mahaffee, Roy, James and Charile Walker, while the flowers were carried by the following: Misses Inez and Marie Morton, Alma Tate, Viry Allison, Irene Waldrop, Vir ginia, Estelle and Emmie Price. Mr. Tate is survived by his wid ow and the following children: C. W., Clyde, Alice and Sadie Tate, Mrs. P. R. Wyatt, Mrs. N. S. Alli son and Mrs. Marion Grant, all of Henrietta; J. B.
