Hollis Is Robbed
Hollis, Sept. 1 —The Grady With
row store at Hollis was entered and
robbed some time Saturday night,
according to Deputy Sheriff Ben
Cooper, who was in Shelby early
Monday.
About 50 pocket knives, nine pairs
of shoes, a dozen shirts, cigarettes
and other articles were stolen. En
trance was made by a front window,
and officers so far have no definite
clues to the robbery, according to
Deputy Cooper.

Salad a la Reine— Chop fine one
half of a small Bermuda onion.
Add twice as much chopped pars
ley as onion. Mix with eight green
peppers,
and peppers,

for one hour in •
a covered glass dish. Just before
using, shake hard for five minutes
and serve on crisp lettuce leaves.
Baked Fish Piedmont —Place in
a baking dish four alternate layers
of sliced potatoes and sliced onions,
seasoning each layer with salt and
pepper. Clean and wash any large
fish, such as a haddock, and place
on the layers. Cover the fish with
a layer of potatoes, a layer of
onions and another layer of pota
toes. Season as before. Pour over
the dish one cup olive oil and three
cups canned tomatoes to which has
been added one tablespoon sugar.
Bake until the potatoes are soft
