Be it ordained by the Board of
Aldermen of the town of Forest
City, in the State of North Carolina,
County of Rutherford:
It shall be unlawful for any per
son, firm ov corporation to throw,
sweep, or cause to be thrown or
swept, or allow same to be. thrown,,
swept or deposited from any pub
lic building: located within the cor
porate limits of the town of Forest
City any waste paper, cans or trash
which might be unsightly, cf any
kind, upon the ground from the
doors, windows, or any other open
ings, from said public buildings,
without first securing a container
sufficient to hold said papers, cans,
and any other trash or filth, and said
containers shall be sufficiently cov
ered to keep said papers, cans and
other trash within srfid containers,
each container and covering for same
shall be furnished by the owner or
manager of said public building. All
waste paper, cans or trash to be de
posited in said containers.
The word,s Public building, shall
mean and include all stores, filling
stations, garages, theatres, livery
stables, ware houses, blacksmith
shops, cafes, hotels, and any other
houses used as a general trading
house.
Any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction
or confession in open court shall be
subject to a fine not exceeding
$50.00 or imprisoned not exceeding
thirty days, in the discretion of the
court.
This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after the
17th day of November, 1930.
