Entrance was j gained during night time through , a window in the rear of the building- , Garage Entered. No arrests in j ■ any of the three robberies have ! been made. * j FRESHMAN MUSIC CLUB MEETS j l i I The fourth meeting of the fresh man music club of Forest City was held last Saturday morning, Jan. 3, with Martha Alexander as hostess, j In the short history of the club j much has been accomplished among j the music students at the grammar I school. In the absence of the president Ethel Young, the vice president, Dorothy Turner presided. The roll call was answered with the name of some composer. A special feature of the program i was ''a scale contest". Those taking part were, Lois Lawing, Bernice Dorsey, Katherine Blanton, Martha Green, Martha Alexander, Margaret Bodie, Vera Beaehboard, Dorothy Turner, Frances Courtney and Mil- j dred Mcßrayer. Mrs. Broadus Moore, chairman of j 1 the sfnior music club, was an honor !ed guest of the meeting and kindly ! presented the prize to Dorothy Turrfrer, winner of the scale contest. Martha Green received honorable mention. Other prizes were given by I Goggans to Kinscella Class pupils doing the best "memory work," i to Bernice Dorsey now in the ad- j vanced Kinscella class, and Lois Law- j t i ing for the beginners class.
