NEW HOPE NEWS Forest City, R-2, May 19.—Mr. and Mrs. Alton Carroll and son, A. p. Jr., and Miss Katie Carroll were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Toms Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hoyle Carroll spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Toms. Mr. and Mi's. Furman Carroll visited Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Reed, of Spindale, Thursday night. Miss Hattie Carroll and Miss Jim mie Duncan spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Toms. Mrs. J. P. Xoms visited her daugh ter, Mrs. Hoyle Carroll, Saturday afternoon. Those visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jack Womack, Wednesday night were Mrs. J. S. Womack, Mr. Charlie Womack, Mr. Earl Womack, Miss Ernestine Womack, Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Carroll, Miss Mary Willie Womack and Miss Exie Blanton, of Williamsburg, Va. Mrs. Lester Toms spent one day last week with her mother, Mrs. W. F. Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Green and daughter, Elizabeth, spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. George Green of Forest City. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Carroll and children, Reid and Hattie visited Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Carroll one night last week. Mrs. Dave Green has been sick for the past few days. Her many friends hope she will soon be well again. The many friends of Mr. M. R. Carroll'are glad to know he is im proving. A wedding of much interest to the many friends was that of Mr. Jack Womack and Miss Eunice Car roll which took place in Gaffney May 3. The bride wore a lovely blue dress with accessories to match. The bride is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 0. T. Carroll. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Wo mack'. Shortly after the ceremony the young couple returned to the bridegrooms' home where a bounti ful supper was spread. Those pres ent were: Mr. and Mrs. Furman Car roll, Mr. Arthur Hamrick, Mr. Roy Towery and Miss Jennie Sue Butler. They are making their home at pres ent with the bride's parents .Their many friends wish for them a long and happy life. WEST END NEWS West End, Forest City, May 18. — Mesdames D. C.
