McMurry, No. 5 Bank Building, Forest City, is the proud recipient of the first Hoover Dam Commemoration Coin to be sent by the Las Vegas, Nevada, Chamber of Commerce to the city of Forest City, N. C. RADIOGRAM FROM RUSSIA. Saturday morning Mrs. A. Yates Hill, who makes her home with Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Hill here, received a radiogram from her husband, A. Yates Hill, who is a construction en gineer in Siberia. The message was relayed to Forest City by telegraph. Mrs. A. C. Dorsey Dies In Shelby Shelby, May 18.—Mrs. A. C. Dor sey, 76 years of age, well known woman and the mother of ten children prominent in this section, died Thurs day evening at 6:40 in the Shelby hospital. About a week ago Mrs. Dorsey fell and broke her hip. The injury and her age combined with complica tions resulted in her death. Funeral services were held Sun day afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. B. R. Dellinger. Burial followed at As bury Methodist church in Lincoln county. The services were delayed to await the arrival of a son, Mr. W. M. Dorsey, from Floydada, Texas. Mrs. Dorsey was a native of Lin coln. Before marriage she was Miss I Anna Catherine Warlick, daughter lof Maxwell Warlick'. Her husband, ■ Mr. A. B. Dorsey, died 26 years ago. i The family had lived in Lincoln j county and at one time at Belwood, | this county. Four years ago Mrs {Dorsey came to Shelby to make her jhome with Mrs. Dellinger. She was a loyal member of the the Asbury church and a woman loved and ad mired by all who knew her. Ten children survive as follows: W. M. Dorsey, Floydada, , Texas; Mrs. J. B. Dorsey, Ballinger, Texas; Mrs. B. R. Dellinger, Mrs. B. F. Spangler, Messrs J. N., and Robert Dorsey, of Shelby; Messrs M. E. and F. C. Dorsey, of Forest City; Mrs. C. F. Bolick, of Burgaw, and Mrs. L. J. Seagle, of Vale. Surviving also are three brothers Messrs H. D., J. R. and D. C. War lick, all of Lincoln county. CAPTURE STILL AND MEN. Deputies A. L. Turner of Ellen— boro; Lee Smith, of Bostic, and Smawley of Sunshine, assisted by Leßoy Jones of Ellenboro captured a copper still near Sunshine Mon day night, May 11. An oil barrel was used as a still. Over 800 gallons of beer and a little whiskey was des- troyed. Summie Watts, white man was captured. He gave bond and will be tried here before the County Re corder. BIRTHDAY OF CAROLEEN MAN OBSERVED SUNDAY Caroleen, May 18.—The friends and relatives of Mr. Walter Rein hardt gathered at his home here Sunday and pleasantly surprised him with a birthday dinner. Approximate ly fifty members of the family and neighbors were present at some time during the day. At noon an appetizing dinner was spread on a large table beneath the shade of a large tree in the yard. GOLDIE LEE (MORRISSETTE) (By Martha Gordon.)
